SHOPPERS will be flocking to Peach Place when a new store opens.
Funky clothing, stationer and homeware store Neon Sheep is one of two names to be announced for the new shopping development in Wokingham’s town centre.
Other branches in the chain include one at Westfield, as well as an online shop.
The store says it is “Rammed full of wonder from wall to wall” and that it “promises a smile, from that everyday little find to a foolproof one of a kind!”
New items on sale include a sequin rainbow keyring for £3, a sheep-festooned wireless smartphone charger for £10 and linear textured glass soap dispenser for £4.
Also on offer are vases, clutch bags with inspirational messages, T-shirts and storage baskets.
The Neon Sheep store will be based on Peach Place.
The second store announced is Coffee#1, which already has a branch in Woodley’s shopping precinct.
The chain says it is dog-friendly and aims to serve great coffee made by talented baristas, in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
The Coffee#1 store will be based inside Peach Place.
Cllr Stuart Munro, executive member for businesses and economic development, said: “Neon Sheep is a fantastic new up and coming brand who have been taking the high street by storm and gaining a huge following wherever they open. They describe their stores as rammed full with wonder from wall to wall and really live up to this statement with their quirky range of stationery, clothing, homeware and gifts. I’m sure they will prove just as popular when they open in Peach Street next month.
“I’m also very pleased to welcome Coffee#1 to Wokingham. With their prime location inside Peach Place they will be the perfect place to grab a hot drink and relax outside in the new pedestrianised square soaking up the sun.
“Coffee#1 has won lots of awards and its clear why with their commitment to offering great customer service with delicious coffee in a great environment.
“Wokingham has a reputation for being one of the best places in the country for bringing up a family and we’re really keen to reinforce this across the town. That’s why businesses like Neon Sheep, with their appeal to the young of heart at all ages, and Coffee#1, with their warm welcome and family friendly attitude, will be great additions for years to come.”
High end fashion retailer Oliver Bonas is due to open within the next few weeks.
