Grace Pounds – Bloodstream

Readipop is a great local festival which, as well as featuring established artists, champions up and coming artists from the local area.

One of the latter is Grace Pounds who has just released her second single, Bloodstream.

Like her first single, Notice, which we featured earlier this year, it is another quality well-played and recorded song which suggests that Grace is a talent to watch out for.

If you are going to Readipop next month (July 12-14) make sure you check her out there.

Grace has also been added to the lineup at August’s Wokingham Festival – www.facebook.com/GracePoundsMusic

Echobelly – Scream

Here is one of those established artists headlining at Readipop.

It’s one of the best bands that came out of the 90s, where they released classic albums such as On and Everyone’s Got One which are chock full of melodic exciting indie rock classics.

This song Scream closes the latter of those and it’s a real epic building throughout to its climatic ending and it shows what a powerful voice Sonya Madan from the band has.

The band will be closing Readipop on the Sunday, so don’t miss that – www.echobelly.com

Masquerader – Pressure (Holy Trinity Cut)

‘Masquerader fizzed with energy as they barrelled onto the stage at Face Bar, steeped in acidic guitar and thrashing vocal style’, said Jake Clothier in his review in this paper of the Reading-based at Are You Listening? Festival.

It sums them up perfectly and you can hear that energy on songs such as this awesome mix that appears on their Nothing Will Change EP – linktr.ee/Masquerader

Áine Deane – The Sisterhood

Áine has supported Sam Smith at the Royal Albert Hall and Hozier on one of his tours so she must be good.

We can confirm that as we’ve seen her live and are looking forward to seeing her again when she headlines the Wokingham Music Club Stage at Wokingham Festival on Saturday, August 24. – www.ainedeanemusic.com

Phantom Booth – Thieving Hound

Talking of Wokingham Festival, here is a band that played there last year. This is their first release of the year, and, as we have come to expect from this band, it’s a good one – linktr.ee/phantombooth

In Albion – The Fall

This is another excellent single from the band that you can see live at Reading’s Purple Turtle on Monday, July 22 – allmylinks.com/inalbionband

Amanda Lehmann – Tinkerbell

There is a great opportunity to see this renowned musician – she also plays in Steve Hackett’s touring band – when she opens the main stage at Wokingham Festival on August Bank Holiday Monday – www.amandalehmann.co.uk

A Better Life (feat. Pete Rawcliffe) – Cold Goodbye

The beautifully chilled A Better Life collective with an impressive new single – abetterlifemusic.com

Delaney Davidson – Heaven Is Falling

It’s worth getting to Reading Face Bar on July 7 for this unique gothic country artist from New Zealand – www.delaneydavidson.com

Jopy – Head Hunters Pub And Grub

Brilliant new indie from Jopy who play a Club Velocity Show on September 27 at Rising Sun Arts Centre – linktr.ee/jopymusic
