FORMER READING FC midfielder Andy Rinomhota has been linked with a return to the club in the final days of the summer transfer window.
Rinomhota worked his way up through the Reading academy and became a pivotal figure in the side before he departed to join Cardiff City on a free transfer last summer.
It now appears that Rinomhota could depart the Bluebirds on a loan deal with Reading interested in securing his services for the season.
Rinomhota managed to make 39 Championship appearances for Cardiff in his debut season, but has played just 12 minutes of league action in the opening four games of the new campaign.
The midfielder made his Reading debut in August 2017 in the EFL Cup before breaking into the first-team the following season.
Rinomhota impressed with his commanding and energetic displays in the middle and played 26 times in the 2018/19 campaign.
He went on to become a vitally important player in Reading’s midfield and made a total of 139 first-team appearances before his contract expired last summer.
Rinomhota opted to reject Reading’s offer of a new deal and joined Championship side Cardiff, while the Royals were subsequently relegated that campaign as the Bluebirds finished just one place above in 21st and narrowly avoided the drop.
With just a few days of the summer transfer window remaining, Selles is still looking to bolster his squad and may opt to bring the 26-year-old in on loan if the clubs can reach an agreement.
