A record number of walkers took part in last Sunday’s Wokingham Walk.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the event.
A spokesperson for organisers Wokingham Lions thanked participants, and said: “We had more than 500 walkers out in the glorious spring sunshine.”
The event raised funds for Wokingham Lions to use to support local charities – but many walkers were also supporting charities that were close to their hearts, including: ABC to Read, Thames Valley Air Ambulance, Autism Berkshire, Dementia UK, First Days Children’s Charity, Me2 Club, Ollie Young Foundation, Parenting Special Children, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care, SUDEP Action: Making every epilepsy death count, Sue Ryder, Thames Hospice, and Wokingham Pride
The Autumn event will be on Sunday, October18.
