Wokingham Borough Council is kicking off its engagement with local businesses to create a town centre strategy, which focuses on the three key shopping areas in the borough – Wokingham town, Woodley and Twyford.
Cllr Mark Ashwell, executive member for economic development and business, said, “We are well aware of the pressure on our high streets due to rising costs and growing shift towards online shopping.
“It’s vital for us to hear from our local businesses on the challenges they are facing and explore new opportunities together.”
If you run a retail business in Wokingham town, Woodley or Twyford, Wokingham Borough Council wants to hear from you.
They’re inviting businesses to join the first engagement session in Woodley on Tuesday, September 10.
The free event will run from 8am until 9am, which refreshments served from 7.30am.
It will take place at the Bader Room, Oakwood Centre on Headley Road in Woodley.
You can reserve a place online here, or by emailing Wokingham Borough Council’s economic development team.
