POLICE are warning people not to accept sweets from strangers.
A message has been circulating on social media messaging platforms claiming to be from Cadbury, offering free chocolate. The link people click on is a Russian originating domain, ending in .ru, and is not connected to the chocolate-making firm.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “People are well advised not to click on it, as one shouldn’t do on any suspect message.
“Any bogus text messages should be forwarded to 7726, emails should be forwarded to: report@phishing.gov.uk“
