Reading Festival fans have been given a new mystery to solve after organisers announced a special guest for next weekend’s festival – without revealing who will perform.
The mystery act has been included in the newly released stage times for the 2026 festival, which takes place at Richfield Avenue from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30.
The unnamed performer will take to The Grid, Reading Festival’s main stage, at 3.15pm on Sunday, August 30.
Their set is scheduled to run for around 45 minutes, finishing at 4pm.
The festival has not revealed the identity of the artist, leaving fans to speculate about who could appear on one of the biggest stages of the weekend.
The mystery slot comes earlier in the day before Loyle Carner performs at 4.30pm, followed by Role Model at 6pm.
Headliner Florence + The Machine is then scheduled to perform at 7.55pm, before Chase & Status Live close the stage at 10.05pm.
The special guest announcement is likely to fuel speculation among festival-goers as they prepare for the event.
This year’s Reading Festival will also feature performances from the likes of Charli XCX, Fontaines D.C., Dave, RAYE, Skepta, JADE, Maisie Peters, Sombr, Holly Humberstone, Kneecap and Paris Paloma.
The festival is also debuting a revamped stage setup in 2026, with The Grid, The Gallery and The Warehouse among the stages hosting performances across the weekend.
For now, however, one name remains firmly under wraps.
Fans will have to wait until closer to the festival – or potentially until the performer walks onto The Grid – to find out who has been chosen as this year’s mystery special guest.
