A NEW-look post office was unveiled by Wokingham’s town mayor in Emmbrook earlier this month.
Following a major refurbishment the One Stop store in Reading Road, which incorporates the Post Office, was officially reopening by Cllr Philip Mirfin on Saturday, October 10.
Owner Sanjay Odedra, who has been running the store since 1988, said he was really pleased with the turn-out on the day.
Mr Odedra said: “I think people were quite shocked by how different the shop looks now. We are competing with the larger supermarkets so we have quite a professional look now.
“We were really pleased with how many people came along for the official re-opening. We like to think of ourselves as a community supermarket where people can get everything they need without having to travel too far.”
The shop donated £500 to WADE as part of its celebrations.
