More than 200 year 11 students and 30 members of staff came together to celebrate the end of their GCSE examinations at The Emmbrook School’s annual Prom, held at Trunkwell House.
Students arrived in spectacular fashion, with entrances including two horses, a double-decker bus, stretched limousines and an impressive collection of high-performance sports cars.
One pupil, Tianna, made a memorable entrance with ex-international showjumper Parker.
Horses have been a huge part of Tianna’s life since she was five years old.
The arrivals set the tone for a memorable evening that celebrated the achievements and friendships of the Class of 2026.
Throughout the event, students looked fantastic and represented the school exceptionally well. They supported one another, embraced the occasion with enthusiasm and filled the dance floor with the energy and excitement that comes from reaching the end of a significant chapter in their education.
Headteacher Nick McSweeney said: “The year 11 Prom was a wonderful celebration of a year group that has consistently demonstrated our FAIR values of family, ambition, integrity and respect.
“It was fantastic to see students supporting one another, celebrating together and conducting themselves with such maturity throughout the evening.
“We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and wish them every success as they take their next steps.”
Head of year James Tichband added: “I couldn’t be prouder of this year group and the journey they have been on to reach this point.
“They have faced challenges, grown as individuals and supported each other every step of the way.
“When results day arrives, grades will tell only a small part of their story.
“What matters most is the kind of people they have become – thoughtful, resilient and caring young adults.
“Their kindness towards each other has been a defining feature of this year group, and that is something to be incredibly proud of.
“I would also like to extend a significant thank you to Mrs Joseph for her support in organising the evening.”
The school would like to thank Trunkwell House, staff, families and everyone who helped make the evening such a special occasion for the year 11 students.
The Emmbrook School looks forward to welcoming the majority of the year group back in September for their new journey into A-levels.
