A FAMILY fun day will be held this weekend, with an aim of raising money to fund more defibrillators for schools.
The event will take place on Saturday at The Shepherds House Inn on Woodley’s London Road.
Lilly-May Page was just five, when she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and died while at school on May 15, 2014.
Since then, her mother Claire Page has been raising money for the Arrhythmia Alliance, an organisation aiming to improve the treatment for those affected by heart rhythm disorders.
And that includes Saturday’s fundraiser.
There are two events, the first running from noon to 5pm, followed by an evening of entertainment from 7pm until 10pm.
The fundraising event will include a barbecue, garden games, stalls, face painting, cake stall and a raffle, which will be drawn at 6.15pm.
A visit from the new Mayor of Woodley, Cllr Janet Sartorel, will also be taking place at 12.30pm.
The evening will feature music from Solace, a cover band playing music from 50s to present day.

Claire Page, Lilly-May’s mother, said: “It’s so lovely to be fundraising again after such a long time due to the pandemic.
“It’s so important to make people aware that cardiac arrests are still going on and it’s bringing that issue to the forefront of people’s minds.”
She added: “Everyone seems to be really excited for the day and the support we have received from the local community has been amazing.”
