A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Bracknell.
Police were called to an address in Birkdale shortly before 07:00 BST on Wednesday after reports that a woman had suffered a head injury.
Despite the efforts of paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service, 40-year-old Natalie Clements was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Home Office post-mortem examination concluded that Ms Clements died from head injuries.
Thames Valley Police said her next of kin are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
Matthew Robert Wilkie, 48, of Liscombe, Bracknell, has been charged with one count of murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Reading Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
