MY JOURNEY Wokingham is offering free electric cargo bike hire for companies in the borough.
The Wokingham-wide initiative is inviting businesses and associations to change the way people think about business deliveries and travel around the borough by trialling its fleet of high-quality electric cargo bikes.
There are many benefits to using cargo bikes, it says, including cutting down on fuel costs, reducing carbon emissions, and beating the traffic.
Electric cargo bikes can also help a business to stand out from the competition, says My Journey Wokingham, boosting brand reputation, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Cargo bikes can also prove to be a perfect choice for local deliveries.
My Journey Wokingham aims to inspire residents, visitors, schools, and businesses to explore active, sustainable travel options.
It promotes active and sustainable modes of transport within workplaces in the borough, and provides tools, resources, and opportunities to help people make some or all of their journeys more sustainable and active.
Collaborating with schools, businesses and community groups, it also organises events and shares educational resources with the public.
It already works with a number of workplaces and business parks, but is keen to spread its help to more businesses.
As well as its electric cargo bike loan service, it offers businesses workplace support for sustainable transport, through its adult cycle training, and bike maintenance workshops.
