Reading FC Women forward Brooke Chaplen will be out ‘indefinitely’ after a scan revealed she has a bone tumour in her right leg.
The devestating news for Chaplen means that the Royals player will undergo surgery to have the tumour removed, which will be followed by a period of rehabilitation.
A statement realesed by the club reads: Following a recent scan, @Brooklyn_7 will be out indefeinetely as results show a bone tumour in her right leg. We would like to wish Brooke all the very best – and she has the full support of the club behind her.”
