A CHILDREN’S nursery has received help to create a sensory room from a housebuilder.
A team from Dandara recently presented Spencers Wood Nursery with a cheque for £500.
Launched last September, the early years centre is for under fives, and includes a garden area with a sensory room.
The donation will help purchase soft furnishings, toys and other equipment, transforming the sensory room into a tranquil space for children to enjoy.
Jane Barnes, Manager of Spencers Wood Nursery, said: “It’s great to have support from local businesses in the area especially having just launched – it all makes such a big difference.
“Dandara’s donation towards the sensory room will help us to make it even more special than we had planned. We can’t wait for the children to see the difference and enjoy the finished product.”
The housebuilder is currently creating homes at its Oakwood Place development, also in the village.
Zoey Rampton, senior sales manager at Dandara Southern, said: “We’re excited to support our newly opened community nursery, contributing during its early stages.
“Recognising the potential benefit for residents in the new development and families in the local area, we’re proud to have helped this important establishment.
“We hope the donation provides a great benefit to the children at the nursery as they development and learn in such a wonderful environment.”
