The Bulmershe School is celebrating its best-ever GCSE results, with the school ranking among the top 25% nationally for student progress for the second year in a row.
The Wokingham school said its Year 11 students achieved an Attainment 8 score of 50.56 – equivalent to an average grade of 5.5 across all subjects.
More than 58% of grades were Grade 5 or above, while almost 73% were Grade 4 or above.
Both figures were above national averages, according to the school.
Mathematics was among the strongest-performing subjects, with more than a third of students achieving Grades 7-9.
This compared with just over a fifth of pupils nationally.
The school also reported strong results across a range of other subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, 3D Design, Computer Science, Spanish, Music and BTEC Digital Information.
The school said these subjects were among those performing in the top 25% nationally.
Progress was also highlighted, with 25 students making more than two grades of progress across all subjects compared with their starting points.
One student achieved four and a half grades of progress per subject.
Headteacher Amanda Woodfin said the results reflected the efforts of students, families and staff.
“These results reflect the incredible ambition of our students, the support of families and the dedication of our staff,” she said.
The school said the results represented another year of improvement and marked a record-breaking performance for the Class of 2026.
