Students at a Wokingham independent school are celebrating their sporting achievements.
Waverley Prep School pupils are National Athletics Champions.
Having won at local and regional levels to qualify to compete against teams from across the UK, they displayed their sporting prowess in Birmingham, at the ISA (Independent Schools Association) Athletics Finals.
Despite tough competition, Waverley was thrilled that its team won Gold in the 4 x 100m relay.
Their winning streak continued as the school also won silver medal in the Vortex Throwing final, and came fifth in the 75m Year 5 Sprint final at the ISA Championships.
A spokesperson for Waverley Prep School said: “We are incredibly proud of our pupils, who demonstrated outstanding sporting talent, determination and resilience while competing at the highest level.
“Facing many schools significantly larger than our own, their achievements—including winning Gold and Silver medals—make our overall performance all the more remarkable.
“With a proven track record of excellence in both academics and sport within our prep school, these successes reflect the dedication, hard work and spirit of our pupils.
“We are immensely proud of all that they have accomplished.”
