EMERGENCY services were called to a road traffic collision in Swallowfield last week.
The incident took place on Basingstoke Road during morning rush hour – 8.15am on Wednesday, November 8.
It involved a car and a heavy good vehicle.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service sent crews from four stations: Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood and Theale Fire Stations.
They rescued a woman from the car, and South Central Ambulance Service then looked after her.
Fire crews were on the scene for just over an hour, making it safe for the road to reopen.
