Another ‘Wokingham’ flag has appeared at this year’s World Cup in the United States.
After Wokingham Today revealed the man and the story behind last week’s appearance of the first flag to be spotted, another flag was picked up by cameras inside the Massachusetts stadium last night during England’s lacklustre draw against Ghana.
This one, bearing the name of the town, also included club badges for both Wokingham Town and Reading football clubs.
Wokingham Today learned that one of those pictured with the flag (pictured right) is Mark Liddiard, a manager with Wokingham Town’s under-9s team.
Mark Ashwell, president of the club, told Wokingham Today: “This just goes to show that we are massive all around the world.”
The first Wokingham flag, which has followed England teams all around the world, was also at last night’s match.
