WOKINGHAM Town Hall’s previous life as a police and fire station was recreated as part of this year’s Heritage Open Day.
The Market Place building opened its doors on Sunday to visitors wanting to find out more about the town’s past.
Special displays were set up to explain how rooms were used in years gone by and the civic silver was on show. Children could have their face painted and hunt the acorns, while local historian Jim Bell was selling some of his booklets explaining Wokingham’s heritage.
