Wokingham borough council has confirmed that planned work that would have seen a major road closed for more than six months has been postponed.
Thames Water had applied, and been granted, permission to close part of Bearwood Road from October 31 until June 12, 2026.
A spokesperson for Wokingham borough council confirmed to Wokingham Today that the works have been delayed until the current Finchampstead Road closure north of its junction with Molly Millars Lane has been completed.
They said: “We can confirm the work has been postponed.
“One Network (which lists planned works) will be updated this week.”
