CHARVIL-based cancer charity My Cancer My Choices (MCMC) is excited to be holding its first fundraising Dog Show at the Charvil Village Fete this year.
Owners can enter adorable doggos for a number of classes, including Best Veteran (teach an old dog new tricks), and Waggiest Tail.
Judges will also be voting for the ultimate accolade of Best in Show.
MCMC Fundraiser Fiona’s dog Moti is already said to be very excited about the show.
“We are so excited to be holding our first ever dog show,” said Fiona.
“It’s a great chance for people to take part in a fun community event, involve the whole family, and raise money for a brilliant local charity.
“We encourage people to book online or come and register on the day.”
MCMC volunteers and staff will also be manning a stall at the fete with fun activities for visitors to try.
The charity thanks the Heron on the Ford for sponsoring the Waggiest Tail category, and Pets Corner (Hare Hatch garden centre) for its prize donation.
It would like to hear from other local businesses able to offer sponsorship, a prize, or any other support for this inaugural event.
My Cancer My Choices provides a safe space for people affected by cancer to access free complementary therapies, including acupuncture, reflexology, massage, reiki and mindfulness.
Its services are designed to reduce the side effects of conventional treatment whilst supporting the person’s physical and emotional wellbeing.
Charvil Village Fete will take place at East Park Farm playing fields, on Sunday, September 6.
Gates are open from 2pm until 6pm, with the dog show from 3pm until 5pm.
Dog show categories cost £3 to enter, with no limit on the number of categories chosen.
Owners can sign up on the day from 2pm until 2.45pm at the registration desk, but with places limited, they may wish to book in advance online, at: mycancermychoices.org
