Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy is celebrating its tenth anniversary in Henley-on-Thames.
June marked a decade since the firm’s acquisition of Collins Dryland & Thorowgood LLP, and the opening of its first office in Henley-on-Thames.
In 2019, Blandy & Blandy relocated to its current home at 24 Thameside, at which time its new office was opened by the then Mayor, councillor Ken Arlett. Last year, the firm acquired the business of McQueen Turner Solicitors, previously based on Station Road, and in 2026 the firm has continued to welcome further new colleagues.
Blandy & Blandy and the Blandy family have had longstanding links with Henley-on-Thames, dating back to at least the 17th Century.
Born in 1690, Francis Blandy, a successful lawyer and the town clerk, lived at 29 Hart Street, now Blandy House. His daughter was the infamous Mary Blandy.
Chair and partner, Claire Dyer, said: “Opening an office in the town ten years ago was a little like coming home for our firm. We have felt very welcomed by clients and the professional community, and it has become exactly that over time.
From supporting the likes of The Kenton, The Living Advent Calendar, Henley in Bloom and the town’s festivities over the years, to hosting events at Henley Royal Regatta, on Hobbs of Henley boats, at The Relais and Hotel du Vin, we are very proud to continue to play an active role in the local area and view Henley as a fantastic place to do business.
“We look forward to continuing to strengthen our team in Henley-on-Thames.
