Finchampstead captain Dan Lincoln smashed 17 boundaries on his way to a brilliant knock of 132 in a draw at Banbury.
Batting first, Finches recovered from the loss of an early wicket to reach 45 before Greg Smith followed his fellow opener Andrew House back to the pavilion.
But Adam Dewes and Lincoln then embarked on a vital partnership with the former reaching 52 before being caught to leave the score 126-3.
Lincoln continued, eventually being caught having scored 132 off 156 deliveries with eight fours and nine sixes, with Simon Bell (26) and Josh Lincoln (20no) also contributing well.
Having batted through all 64 of their overs, Finchampstead set a target of 296 for the hosts to chase.
And that looked unlikely when Rehan Akram and Darron Augustus took an early wicket apiece to leave Banbury wobbling on 28-2.
But they recovered to move past the 100 mark with seven wickets still in tact before Zafar Ali took over with three wickets to try and force a victory.
However, Banbury managed to see out the final 10 balls to close on 267-9 and take a draw.
Finchampstead took 16 points from the contest to stay just outside the relegation spots in Home Counties Premier 1.
In the league below, WOKINGHAM also ended with a draw from their home clash with Amersham.
Having won the toss and opted to field, the Oaks got off to a perfect start with Iain Muirden taking an early wicket.
But Amersham responded to reach 97 before the next wicket fell and they steadily pushed the scoreboard along to 237-6 at close with Muirden (2-59) the pick of the bowlers.
Wokingham began well in reply. With captain Stuart Hayter bumped up to open the batting, he and Stuart Parsons put on 47 for the first wicket before Hayter fell for 32.
Parsons (15) and Archie Carter (0) quickly followed with Maduka Liyanapathiranage claiming all three on his way to a five-wicket haul.
Danny Housego helped to restore some order with a knock of 31 but it was Michael Bates who played the key role in earning a draw with his unbeaten 92.
But there was still a nervy end after three quick-fire wickets, but Wokingham held on to reach 197-8 and take seven points for the draw.
The Oaks sit sixth in Premier 2 at the halfway mark.
