WOKINGHAM Borough Council will be offering free parking at all its borough-owned car parks for residents attending this year’s Lunar New Year event.
It hopes that this will provide a boost to the local economy and support for stallholders, and encourages businesses to use the opportunity to draw in additional customers.
Outlets and stalls planning to open on the day are invited to share any special activities, products or menus they are offering.
These can be promoted on the Love Wokingham social media channels run by the town council.
Organised by Wokingham Town Council, the Lunar New Year Event will take place at Market Place on Sunday, February 9.
While the main event takes place that day, Lunar New Year celebration runs from Wednesday, January 29 to Wednesday, February 12, so promotions extending beyond the event day will also be featured.

Businesses looking to do something specifically for the event day should send their images and content by Wednesday, February 5.
