Former Reading FC winger Femi Azeez has completed a move to Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion from Millwall.
The 25-year-old becomes Brighton’s latest signing of the summer after impressing for the Championship club last season.
The transfer fee has not been officially disclosed by Brighton, but reports suggest the deal is worth an initial £12.5m and could rise above £15m through add-ons.
Azeez leaves Millwall having enjoyed an outstanding campaign in the Championship, scoring 11 goals and providing a number of assists as he earned a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
The winger began his career in Reading’s academy and spent five years with the Royals before joining Millwall in August 2024 for what the Berkshire club described as a substantial undisclosed fee.
He made 89 first-team appearances for Reading, scoring 11 goals, and was a key player during the club’s League One campaign in the 2023-24 season, when he registered eight goals and nine assists.
His performances since leaving the Select Car Leasing Stadium have seen his value rise significantly, with his reported move to Brighton potentially worth more than £15m.
Azeez’s arrival was among a number of deadline-day additions for Brighton, who have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
The move gives the former Reading academy graduate the opportunity to play in the Premier League for the first time in his career.
