A man suffered facial injuries following an alleged attack in Wokingham town centre during the early hours of Sunday, August 23.
The incident is understood to have happened at The Redan pub in Peach Street around closing time.
A spokesperson for The Redan told Wokingham Today: “Details are not clear as to what has happened or who is to blame for the alleged assault, and we are helping Police with their enquiries.”
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson told Wokingham Today: “Officers were made aware of an assault around 2.10am on Sunday, August 23, at an address on Peach Street in Wokingham.
“The victim, a man in his forties, sustained minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.
“A 27-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
“He has been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.”
It is understood the victim has since attended hospital.
