WOKINGHAM’S big tribute act festival Marvellous is returning to the borough next month and organisers say that the best way to experience is to stay for the weekend.
Dinton Pastures will be home to the music festival over the weekend of July 21 and 22, with organisers promising that it will be bigger and better than ever before.
The line-up includes tributes of The Eagles, Oasis, Tom Jones and Ed Sheeran on the Saturday, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Tina Turner and Bob Marley, among others, on the Sunday.
There will also be two other stages showcasing a range of music and local bands, as well free activities for children to enjoy and a silent disco.
And for people who really want to make a weekend of it, Marvellous is offering a range of camping and glamping options.
A spokesperson said: “Without a shadow of a doubt, the best way to enjoy the Marvellous Festival experience is to camp for the weekend. We have Camping and Glamping packages plus facilities for Campervans, Caravans and Motorhomes.
“Your camping ticket gets you three nights of camping with access from midday on Friday, July 20. You can enjoy the relaxed informal party atmosphere on the Friday evening when you join with the Marvellous crew for a few drinks and some great entertainment on the Wokingham Music Club Stage. Then on Saturday, you’re already there for the Festival kick-off. Marvellous!”
The Glamping packages offer tents for two, four or six people. They comes ready pitched and complete with blow-up mattresses and lanterns.
It’s also right at the heart of the action, situated backstage and close to the festival arena. Glampers also have access to their backstage hot showers and toilets.
