The popular athlete kicked things off with a motivating whole school assembly where he discussed healthy eating and tips on how to be confident and positive. He also demonstrated handstands and had a press-up competition with staff.
Then he visited all classrooms to answer questions before the main event, the Eliminator.
Pupils were split into Reds vs Blue teams and battled it out through a challenging course.
Children had been sponsored to complete the course, which resulted in over £3,500 being raised for the school’s project to have stage lighting installed in their sports hall.
Zack George is a renowned UK CrossFit athlete, crowned the UK’s Fittest Man in 2020. As a former overweight child turned elite athlete, he uses his platform to inspire children regarding fitness, mental well-being, and nutrition
Spencer Blay, headteacher, said: “It was a fantastic day. There were smiles all round with motivational encouragement from Zack and we are very grateful to him for the messages he delivered to the children.
“As well as all the fun and exercise, there were important tips shared with pupils about healthy eating and taking care of our bodies which they really responded to and am sure will have a lasting, positive influence on school and home life.
“It was a day the children will remember forever.”
