This weekend, thousands of visitors will flock to Wokingham for the annual May Fayre
The town’s hugely popular May Fayre, organised by Wokingham Lions Club, will once again bring colour, vibrancy, and fun to the borough, as people travel for miles to enjoy a day of family entertainment.
With stalls, rides, music, dancing, a mini train, and a children’s farm, there’s something for everyone.
And with town centre roads closed to traffic, visitors can safely enjoy all that the fayre offers.
When and where is the May Fayre?
On Bank holiday, Monday, May 4, the fun begins at 10am, and will continue throughout the day until 5pm.
Stalls and events can be found in Wokingham’s Market Place, Denmark Street, the Plaza, and Elm’s Field.

A fun fair can be found in Elms Field, with a children’s farm just round the corner from the Everyman Theatre.
A mini train can be taken from outside Pirates Landing, and if not called out, a fire engine will be stationed in Denmark Street just below the Plaza.
Stilt walkers and jugglers will be walking around the fayre throughout the day.
Stalls and food:
Around 130 stalls will represent a wide range of groups including: charities, sports, music and theatre, churches, special interest, Scout and Guide, crafts, gifts, foods and beverages.
These will line the streets and paths of Elms Field, continuing through the Plaza and into Denmark Street, where they can be enjoyed right up to Market Place.
Toilets and first aid:
First aid is in the parking bay opposite Nuffield Health, and toilets can be found near the top end of the Elms Field children’s play area beside Earle Crescent.
