Reading FC has announced the launch of One Royal, a new supporter membership model designed to offer fans greater flexibility, added value and alternative ways to purchase season tickets.
From 6 May, supporters will be able to opt into a monthly payment plan that includes a guaranteed seat for the season, alongside a range of additional benefits, experiences and rewards.
Fans will also still be able to purchase a traditional season ticket with a one-off upfront payment, with both options subject to a price freeze until 15 June 2026 at 15:00 BST.
The club said the freeze comes amid continued pressure on household budgets, citing rising costs across energy, food, wages and wider operations. Reading FC said it remains committed to keeping matchdays “as affordable and accessible as possible”.
Flexible payments introduced
The One Royal project began in October 2025 as part of a wider review into supporter engagement and revenue models.
Under the new system, supporters can spread the cost of attending matches across monthly instalments while still receiving a season ticket. The club said the scheme is designed to offer more choice, while maintaining the existing purchase option.
Reading FC said nothing changes for supporters who prefer to pay upfront.
Engagement and development
The club said significant development work has gone into integrating the scheme across ticketing, retail, hospitality, streaming and digital systems. Supporter groups and fan media were consulted during the process.
Reading FC described the final product as a “simple, supporter-focused and added-value service”.
Prizes and incentives
Subscribers to One Royal will also be entered into regular prize draws, with rewards including tickets to the PDC World Darts Championship, a Silverstone Formula 1 practice session, signed club memorabilia, hospitality experiences, and behind-the-scenes access at the club’s Bearwood Park training ground.
Other prizes include matchday experiences such as box access, parking spaces for the season, and food and drink packages.
Club statement
Reading FC co-chief executive Joe Jacobson said the scheme was designed to reflect different financial circumstances among supporters.
“Our supporters are at the heart of everything we do, and One Royal has been created to give them more choice, more flexibility and more value,” he said.
“We’re proud to once again freeze our ticket prices and give supporters the chance to secure that price until 3pm on 15 June.”
He added that traditional season ticket purchases will remain available, but the new scheme offers an “additional way to support fans and reward their loyalty”.
