Father Christmas was in Finchampstead on Tuesday, paying a special visit to Elusive Brewing and Siren Craft Brew on the Hogwood Industrial Estate
‘’The Big Man’ was taking part in a special brew for the Burghfield Santa’s ahead of the Sunday’s Burghfield Box Kart Bash event and annual Santa brew competition.
‘Mashing in’, hosing down and of course, tasting, were all part of Santa’s itinerary as part of the Burghfield Santas annual brewing competition in association with Reading Amateur Brewers and Elusive.
Once it’s ready, the beer will pour across all this year’s events in Burghfield including Burghfest and the sensationally popular Pub in the Park events.
Before he left, Santa sleighed by Siren to collect a huge order of the brewery’s award-winning Gluten Free beer Lumina which will be pouring at Sunday’s Box Kart Bash on Reading Road in Burghfield.
Staged for the first time in 2025 since Covid, the event saw 7,000 spectators watch a series of incredible home-made Box Karts race down ‘Hermits Hill’ with the aim of setting the fastest time.
On Sunday, June 21, Hermits Hill will be closed from 7am and gates will open for spectators at 11am. Racing begins at midday and will be complete by 4pm. The road will re-open to traffic at 7pm.
