Reading return to Madejski Stadium on Saturday to host in-form Preston North End.
Jose Gomes’ Royals are outside of the relegation zone by one point while Preston are just one point off the play-offs following a run of 12 games unbeaten and six away wins on the spin.
But with a run of tricky away games to follow, Reading must start picking up the points soon, even without a host of injured players.
