As the Christmas holidays gets underway, Wokingham’s borough mayor wants you to join him for a festive sing-a-long.
Timed to offer something for parents looking to do as term ends, the mayor’s carol service takes place at St Paul’s Church in Reading Road on Friday, December 18 at 4pm.
All ages are welcome to join in the singing of popular and favourite carols at the church, with music led by the Berkshire Maestros South Youth Brass Band.
The Maestros, led by James Doherty and assisted by the Bracknell and Wokingham Community Band, will be playing a mixture of Christmas favourites plus some pieces of music specially arranged for the event.
The event will be hosted by Wokingham Borough Mayor Cllr Parry Batth and aims to help you start the Christmas season in style.
Wokingham Borough Mayor Cllr Parry Batth said: “The annual Christmas carol concert is a great way to enjoy the festive season and I look forward to welcoming our residents, young and old, to this special event.”
There will be free first-come-first-serve parking at the council offices on Shute End; at the Masonic Hall in Reading Road and at St Paul’s Parish Rooms, Reading Road.
