Police are investigating a suspected stabbing at a nail salon in Wokingham town centre.
The incident happened at Lounge Nail Salon on Peach Street at about 14:50 BST on Tuesday.
Thames Valley Police said a man in his twenties suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Officers have arrested a 21-year-old woman from Wokingham on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. She remains in police custody.
Police said the incident is believed to be isolated, with those involved thought to be known to each other. There is no wider risk to the public and officers are not seeking anyone else in connection with the investigation.
A scene was initially in place at the salon but has since been lifted while enquiries continue.
