I have been a Councillor in Earley for many years and assisted countless people with different problems, as well as showing practical leadership with things like litter picking, pet therapy, working with refugees and leading campaigns. I am Leader of Earley Town Council Liberal Democrats and Opposition lead for Adult Care Services at the Borough. I have 4 grandchildren at local schools, and my wife is Cllr Dr. Nicola Brock, a local GP.
Frank Smith, Conservatives
I moved to Lower Earley in 2006 and my wife Jean and I love living here. I served in the RAF and then worked in sales management for several well known coffee companies. We lived in many different places both here in England and abroad.
Hawkedon has a well-integrated warm and welcoming community and I want to ensure we continue to welcome and support residents.
As a father and now a grandfather of 7, I understand how very important it is that your children attend an excellent school offering the best opportunities. We must make sure there are enough places locally for every child to be able to walk to school.
We have fantastic sports and leisure facilities and I want everyone to have opportunities to be able to choose an active, healthy lifestyle. Now you know more about me, I want to invite you to share your opinions with me. Please phone or email or write to give your views.
If you see me out and about, please say hello as I would be delighted to have a chat and listen to your views. I hope, that with your support, I can stand up for Hawkedon and be your voice in the council.
