Local residents claim that two teenage girls are wreaking havoc in Wokingham town centre.
Two weeks ago, The Wokingham Paper reported an assault in the Market Place branch of Boots.
A shopper who was browsing the shelves said that she had had face cream poured all over her head in an unprovoked attack.
She said that the two girls then verbally assaulted before they walked out.
Social media users responded to the story, claiming that it could be the same culprits who they allege are disturbing the peace in other Wokingham stores.
One resident said: “It will be the same girls I saw in Waitrose throwing cream everywhere.
“Think the staff in there may know them – heard one saying they come in a lot, chuck stuff around and leave.”
Another said: “There are two teenage girls regularly in town, in daytime, throwing things about in Waitrose and pushing displays over.
“Yesterday I saw them pushing another in a shopping trolley down middle of Broad Street holding up traffic.”
In a statement to The Wokingham Paper, Waitrose commented: “We’re aware of two incidents involving the same individuals and any behaviour like this will be escalated to the local community police officers.”
