A man found dead in Bracknell has been formally identified by police as Abdul Wali Mamozai.
Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to Market Street at about 11:40 BST on Sunday, 26 April, following reports of a deceased man. Mr Mamozai, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers. Police said their thoughts remain with them during what they described as an “extremely difficult time”.
Four men, aged 35, 27 and two aged 33, all from Bracknell, were arrested in connection with the investigation and have since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
A police cordon in Market Street has now been lifted, with officers thanking the public for their patience.
Det Supt Kevin Brown, head of the force’s Major Crime Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with Abdul Wali Mamozai’s family.
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances around Mr Mamozai’s death to fully understand the events that have led to this sad loss of life.
“I would like to ask anyone who may have information that could help our investigation to please come forward and speak to us.
“I would also request that people do not speculate about details of this case or circulate inaccurate information on social media during this live investigation.”
