It’s the final day of Wokingham Festival and the forecast is set to be the best yet.
Once again there will be a brilliant selection of live music, great food, fantastic beer and cider, captivating cocktails, family fun and much more to enjoy.
With temperatures forecast to hit 26ºC, make sure you have plenty of sun cream, wear a hat and come and enjoy summer’s last hurrah!
The festival takes place in Cantley Park, off Twyford Road in Wokingham.
Gates open at 10am and there is free entry before noon. Entry is £7 thereafter.
Live music starts today at 12.50pm and continues until the festival closes at 10.30pm. Here’s what’s in store today:

12.50pm Peach and the Prairie Dogs
First up today is Peach and the Prairie Dogs, a great band who have been busy on the festival circuit this summer. Come and enjoy Sunday lunch in style with some fantastic live music.
1.45pm John Cee Stanard & Blues Horizon
JohnCee and his Blues Horizon buddies have been performing together now for more than 18 months and have been building up a firm local reputation for their foot-tapping brand of blues based original songs.
JohnCee’s writing style draws on country blues and rag – with hints of jazz that often harks back to the 30’s and 40’s. Observational, and often with a touch of humour.
2.50pm Tinderbox
Contemporary folk group Tinderbox were originally formed in 1997 by Dublin born singer-songwriter Monique Houraghan and guitarist/songwriter Dan Tucker.
With five studio albums and one live album under their belts Tinderbox have amassed an impressive catalogue of self-penned music.
Inspired by artists as diverse as James Taylor, Ane Brun, Jackson Browne and Counting Crows, the songs explore a myriad of poignant themes that range from war and the environment to lost friendship, global travel and (of course) love.
4pm Spriggan Mist
Spriggan Mist are a great Folk Rock band, that will entertain you, with amazing harmonies, numerous talented musicians and evenings that you will never forget. And they’re another local band who are passionate about supporting the local music scene.
5.15pm Get Ready
Get Ready capture the cool and style of the Sixties through the music of era, from the Motown sound and Northern Soul to the British Invasion and the iconic female vocalists who defined their generation.
Get Ready recreate the sounds from the decade that changed it all!
If you love the ‘swinging 60s’ music, clothes and style, then get ready for Get Ready.
6.30pm The Blackheart Orchestra
Award-winning British songwriters, composers and multi-instrumentalists Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Pilkington are The Blackheart Orchestra, one of the must-see bands of 2017.
The pioneering folktronica duo blend musical styles seamlessly sidestepping boundaries to create music huge enough to fill a cathedral.
Come with them on their deep musical journey into the human psyche.
8.0pm The Jiveoholics
Swingin’ Jump Jive music is what The Jiveoholics are all about! Their show is crammed full of classic Swing, Jive, Boogie and Blues arrangements of songs from the 40’s, 50’s and early 60’s.
Hit tunes from the stars of the day: Louis Jordan, Louis Prima and Cab Calloway; Wynonie Harris, Big Joe Turner and Ray Charles.
Infectious rhythms that won’t let your feet stay still and will have you sliding on to the dance floor as soon as you hear the first note!
9.30pm The Police Academy
The Police Academy recreate and reproduce a totally authentic experience that allows audiences to enjoy and immerse themselves in some of the best known songs ever written by truly, one of the World’s greatest ever bands.
Roxanne, Message In A Bottle, Every Breath You Take, King Of Pain, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic and Walking On The Moon are just few of the highlights in a set that could legitimately be described as “all killer, no filler”.
It brings this year’s Wokingham Festival to a close.
