WOKINGHAM Borough Council’s new waste and recycling collection contract with Biffa has now started.
As the service beds in over the next few weeks, the council is letting residents know that there may be a few changes.
For most people, collection days are staying the same, unless households have been told otherwise directly by letter through their door.
But collection times may be different as crews are now operating new routes, and residents are asked to be patient if their bins are collected earlier or later than they’re used to.
Everyone is asked to recycle as much as possible, particularly food waste, and to put bins out the night before or by 6.30am on collection day.
Any missed collections should be reported on Wokingham Borough Council’s website.
They can be reported at any time, and the council’s real-time data will show if crews have visited a property or not.
Garden waste sacks must be booked for collection, and all containers, including wheeled bins, food caddies and recycling bags should be labelled to help crews.
The council thanks the borough for bearing with them and for supporting crews as the new contract begins.
