WITH THE weekend forecast looking like it will be one of the best bank holiday weekends in ages, organisers of a beer festival are hoping for a great day out.
On Sunday, May 28, The Biltong Emporium Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival returns for a 12th year.
The now annual event will once again be held at, and raise funds for, Bracknell Rugby Club.
Hundreds of people are expected to come along to the event, which has 48 real ales on offer from Berkshire breweries and beyond. There will also be a craft beer bar, and some barrel-aged beers.
A gin and Prosecco tent will offer alternatives to real ale and cider, and there will be a street food court serving a range of foods from snacks to more substantial treats.
Music will be performed on two stages.
The main stage, sponsored by Calibra Tree Surgeons, will see performances from Jagged Little Alanis, Darth Vader’s Luggage, The Fabulous Funky Funks, Cloud Cat, Fleece Lined, Audiotonic and a DJ.
The Ascot Sports Bar is sponsoring the acoustic stage, featuring Abi Powell, Ben Martin, Mili and Bertie, Saxcelerate, One Eyed Man and Scampy.
Organisers say the festival is family friendly, with children admitted free and good dogs are welcome.
The event, on Sunday, May 28, starts at noon and runs through to 10.30pm at the ground at Lily Hill Park.
