Former Reading FC star Ollie Norwood and Liam Moore could be set to face the Royals next season with the pair on trial with a League One side.

Both players are reportedly currently on loan at Stockport County, who won promotion from League Two last season.

The Hatters won the league with 92 points which saw them defeat Wrexham in the title race, who were also promoted.

33-year-old Norwood spent just two seasons with Reading, but made a huge impact on the side.

He made a total of 92 appearances for the Royals in all competitions before departing to join Brighton & Hove Albion.

After helping get Brighton promoted to the PRemier League, he spent the next season on loan at Fulham, who were subsequently promoted to the top flight.

He then spent a season on loan with Sheffield United before making the move permanent.

He played a total of 250 games for the Blades before being released in the summer following their relegation from the Premier League.

Former captain Moore may also be joining Stockport having had a short stint at Northampton Town last season.

Moore racked up a total of 233 games in a Reading shirt before his Royals career ended in disappointment after several injury issues.

He only managed five appearances for Northampton last campaign as he continued to be plagued by injury problems.
