Twelve children were celebrating after being announced as the winners of The Lexicon’s annual Christmas art competition, sponsored by Daler Rowney.
This year, children between four and 12-years-old were asked to create bright and colourful baubles for the town centre’s Twinkle Trail.
Arrabelle Bailey from Evendons Primary School, Hannah Misselbrook from St. Michaels Easthampstead Primary School and Yusra Omar from Lowbrook Academy were chosen as the overall category winners.
Each student won £300 worth of Giotto art products for their schools, plus a smaller Giotto set including colouring pencils and felt pens to use at home – and a £35 gift voucher from The Lexicon.
Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon, said: “We were thrilled to receive more than 200 entries for the bauble competition.
“Selecting the final twelve designs for our Twinkle Trail was a challenging yet rewarding process, given the exceptional quality of all the entries.
“A huge thank you to Daler Rowney for its continued support of our annual colouring competition.”
All the winning designs will be displayed in retailers’ windows across the town centre, forming a beautiful Twinkle Trail which is open until Sunday, January 7.
Carola Bustos-Loyola, trade marketing manager at Daler Rowney, said: “We are delighted to sponsor The Lexicon’s Christmas art competition again and can’t wait to see all the winning designs in the town centre.”
Visitors to The Lexicon can pick up a Twinkle Trail entry form from the Welcome Hall of The Avenue, or by visiting The Glow Room and Light Pool in Princess Square.
In addition to providing a fun and free activity for families, all correct and completed entry forms will be entered into a draw for the chance to win one of six fantastic prizes.
