DAN BATEMAN says he believes Sam Lawrence can contribute even more goals after taking his tally to seven for the season during November.
Midfielder Lawrence is Sumas’ top scorer this campaign and and Bateman is keen to keep pushing the midfielder further up the pitch.

“Sam’s been really key for us this year,” the Sumas boss told The Wokingham Paper.
“He works really hard.
“One of the things for me that I’ve tried to do for the last couple of games which has really worked for us is to try and release Sam from his defensive duties and just tell him to concentrate on going forwards.
“He’s got so much ability and he causes so many problems in the opposition box but because he’s such an unselfish player, he tracks back and does a lot of defensive stuff.
“I said to him I don’t want you to come and do that Sam, because you’re spending all your time getting on the ball in the wrong areas of the pitch.
“I want him to be further forward. I want him to be up in their half and then when he gets on the ball, he can really make things happen for us.
“He’s a really key part of our squad and I’m really pleased with how he’s been playing.”
