Woodland near Wokingham has sold in what the auctioneer has described as a bidding war.
Covering three-quarters of an acre, the freehold site off Sandy Lane in Barkham was among 137 lots listed across southern England by Clive Emson Auctioneers for its November auction.
Mike Marchant, a senior auction appraiser with the firm, told Wokingham Today: “We anticipated keen interest from prospective buyers looking to own a piece of Berkshire, and this proved to be the case.
“The final bid was £21,506 plus fees, which was £16,506 above the guide price.”
The next auction by Clive Emson Auctioneers, the last of eight this year across southern England, takes place on December 13, with live bidding starting 48 hours before.
