A former Reading FC talent is being linked with a move this summer transfer window which could see him move for around £3million.
Jordan Holsgrove, son of former Reading player Paul Holsgrove, started his youth career with Reading, His father Paul played for Reading from 1994-1997 and also featured for local side Wokingham Town in the 1990/91 campaign.
He is being monitored by Championship clubs this summer including Charlton Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are both hoping to seal a move for the 26-year-old.
It has been reported that Chalrton have submitted an offer for the midfielder which fell below Estoril’s valuation of the player, while Wolves are also keen on adding him to their squad as they plot a return to the top flight following last season’s relegation.
Other sources have also stated that French side Racing Club de Lens are also monitoring Holsgrove ahead of a potential approach.
Having been part of the academy set-up, Holsgrove signed a professional contract with the Royals in 2017 and starred in the Under 23’s team before making a loan move to Atletico Baleares in the 2019/20 season where he netted twice in 22 games.
He departed Reading in September 2020 and joined Celta Vigo on a two-year deal.
He played 52 times for Celta B but managed just five appearances for the first-team and left in 2022 to join Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira.
After one season with Pacos he was signed by Greek giants Olympiacos and was immediately loaned out to Portuguese side Estoril and then signed there permanently in 2024. He made 33 league appearances for them last season and scored one goal and claimed six assists in their 10th placed league finish.
