Whether you’re a classical music lover, jazz fan or keen on something more contemporary, there’s a packed schedule of live music concerts coming to Wokingham this weekend.
Saturday, July 11, is a particularly busy evening with three concerts taking place.
South Berkshire Singers present Songs of Stage and Screen at Cauldwell Hall, Holme Grange at 7.30pm, featuring medleys from Les Misérables and The Best of Bond alongside popular classics.
All proceeds support Limbcare UK, a charity offering hope and peer support to amputees and limb impaired individuals.
Tickets are £15, with children free.
Sing Healthy Choirsis bringing their first ever Summer Prom Concert, Voices of Britain, to Wokingham Baptist Church at 7.30pm. The programme spans 700 years of British music from Britten and the Beatles to contemporary composers, with sing-along highlights from the last night of the proms.
Tickets are £14 (under 16s £6).
Wokingham Philharmonic Orchestrareturns to All Saints Church at 7.30pm following their successful inaugural concert earlier this year. The orchestra will perform dances, scenes and stories by Bizet, Mendelssohn, Coleridge-Taylor and Grieg.
Tickets are £15 including a programme.
On Sunday, July 12, St Sebastian Wokingham Band performs Windows of the World at St Paul’s Church at 7pm. The brass band, established in 1931, will transport audiences across cultures through music.
