ST PAUL’S Church is to host a classical music recital from musicians Luke Tyrrell and Hannah Harding.
Growing up in Woosehill and Bracknell respectively, the friends attended Ranelagh School before studying, and recently graduating from, two of the country’s leading music universities.
Their concert sees them return to their roots, and is called Sketches Of Home.
The free event will include Spanish classical guitar music from Mr Tyrrell, and a set of English bassoon music from Ms Harding.
“We want this concert to be a real celebration of homecoming,” said Mr Tyrrell.
“We both moved away, but we’ve come back to share what we’ve learned, with stories to tell, and a selection of pieces to play.”
The two musicians have not performed together for some time.
“It’s great to be able to celebrate being home and for Hannah and myself to play music together in this wonderful venue,” he continued.
“Between us, we aim to present a combination of sound worlds, with some exciting and light-hearted music.
“We’d love people to come along and enjoy what will be a relaxed and casual event.”
Refreshments will be available, and donations will be welcomed.
The event takes place at St Paul’s Church, Wokingham, on Saturday, July 29, at 6.30pm.
