ON SUNDAY, England take on Germany in the final of the Women’s Euros, and to celebrate Greene King is offering people a free pint.

A number of its pubs in Wokingham, Reading and surroudning areas are taking part in the initiative, to help people cheer on the home side.

And it’s not just beer that’s on offer.

There are soft drinks and ciders available to enjoy during the game, which kicks-off at 5pm.

How to claim the free drink from Greene King pubs

Those who want to have a free drink must download the Greene King Season Ticket app on their smartphones.

The season ticket app is available to download for free via the Apple store or the Google store.
The cut-off point is noon on Sunday, July 31.

What happens next?

At 3pm on Sunday, July 31, those registered for the Greene King Season Ticket app will see a free drink added to their account.

The drink can be redeemed at more than 700 pubs across the country. But not every Greene King pub is taking part, only participating sports sites.

People can only order their free drink until midnight on Sunday.

What drinks are available?

Here are the free drinks people can choose from using the Greene King Season Ticket app.

  • Ice Breaker Pale Ale (bottle/pint)
  • Coca-Cola/Zero Sugar (bottle/draught)
  • Heineken 0.0% (bottle)
  • Heineken 5% 330ml (bottle)
  • Bulmers (bottle)
  • Heineken 5% (draught)
  • Foster’s (draught)
  • John Smith’s Extra Smooth (draught)
  • Strongbow (draught)
  • Strongbow Dark Fruit (draught)
  • Amstel (draught)

Are there any other offers available?

Greene King Season Ticket holders will also benefit from 10% off all purchases made via the app.

Why is Greene King doing this?

Greene King says the offer is the latest in its drive to support women’s sport.

And it is donating 10p from every drink sold via the Season Ticket app during the final to Women in Sport, a charity which provides impactful solutions to tackling gender inequality in sport.

Faye Nixon, marketing manager for Greene King Sport said: “The Women’s Euros has been nothing short of fantastic.

“The team have broken so many records and we’re all thrilled they’ve made it to the final.”

She continued: “Whatever happens on Sunday, it’s important we don’t just see this as a one-off moment for women’s sport.

“We need to do everything we can to continue the buzz that has followed this tournament and inspire the next generation of women in sport.”

And this view was echoed by Wendy Hawk, Head of Communications and Engagement at Women in Sport who said the lionesses are making history with their final date.

“Change is happening both at the elite and the grassroots,” she said.

“We are grateful that Greene King are supporting this success in their pubs and their communities right across the UK.

“Together we can inspire a generation and ensure the women’s Euros creates a legacy for the future.”
