We have recently celebrated our 17th Charter Anniversary with an excellent meal at our usual venue Sonning Golf Club with our partners and guests from other clubs in the area. Eleven of our Presidents also enjoyed the evening.
Our speaker was Steve Roberts whose funny and fascinating talk was entitled Tales of a Scotland Yard Detective.
Steve retired as a detective inspector in the Metropolitan Police after 30 years’ service.
He worked in east and south-east London and at New Scotland Yard on a number of specialised investigations with the Flying Squad, Murder Squad, Anti-Corruption and Kidnap Unit.
We would like to invite everyone to our Charity Fashion Show, presented by John Lewis and Partners on Wednesday, April 17. This will be held at Leighton Park School RG2 7ED starting at 7pm and the tickets, costing £12, will include a glass of wine or soft drink.
