SPENCERS Wood Village Hall will play host to its inaugural repair café on Sunday, May 15.
A team of volunteers, experienced in repairing household items, will attempt to fix broken items brought in by members of the public.
Repair cafes encourage people to refrain from disposing mendable items, reducing landfill usage and carbon footprint.
The sustainable concept has proved popular across Berkshire, with sites now established in Reading, Thatcham and Spencers Wood.
Repairs will be made free of charge, but there will be an opportunity to make a donation. All funds raised will go to the Village Hall.
The repair cafe starts at 2pm.
